The boxes this week look Great! We officially started digging potatoes:) Their are twenty two rows from the two we dug up the yields were great. This means we should have potato's the rest of season. We need a little more heat so these tomato's really start to turn. We only planted about a zillion. LOL. You will notice that we started cleaning the field. Once we pick all the vegetables in an area we will put it to bed. Which consists of tilling the soil and then seeding with Winter Rye Grass. This adds nitrogen to the soil which helps with foliar growth in the veggies.(Green Growth) Ex. Leaves. I am also happy to report that the Brussels Sprouts are looking amazing and I can't wait to get them to you when they mature. The Herb beds also are bursting with Growth. Their are many varieties.(20+) So don't be shy take as much as you need. The bags and scissors are in the store.
