The onion is bitter. It is edible but not mature. They can be tough. The part that is edible is the green stem. They are wonderful in a stew or with eggs. They are like chives, but much stronger. Sorry for the confusion, I should of noted. I hope you all enjoy your box this week. Things are looking pretty good on the farm. Tomorrow Ben is going to the market at 8th AVE and will be bringing two bushels of Zuc's with him. They will be provided to C.S.A. member's free of charge. Just show card. We will also be selling some of our cabbage. Today was extremely hot on the farm and I picked Zuc's all day and watered. My dad is in town for the weekend, So it will be nice to have him around.
ALSO PEACHES ARE IN THIS WEEKEND AT BASS FARMS, our peaches that we hand select are @ the farm. Also our melons that we get our in. This is our first weekend of fruit. Please come to store if you would like to purchase our fruit. IT IS NOT ORGANIC, but extremely high in Quality.
